Lead Fiber Technician

We are seeking a Data Center Fiber Technician to support the installation and deployment of pre-terminated MPO fiber infrastructure within a data center environment.

Responsibilities:

• Install, route, secure, and dress pre-terminated MPO fiber optic cabling throughout data center spaces.
• Follow rack elevation drawings, pathways, and cable management standards.
• Perform cable labeling, documentation, and quality assurance checks.
• Assist with fiber optic testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
• Maintain a safe work environment while adhering to all site-specific safety requirements.
• Work effectively with project managers and other technicians to meet deployment schedules.
• Oversee a team of 3 technicians.

Requirements:

• Experience installing and routing fiber optic cabling in data centers, telecommunications facilities, or commercial environments.
• Familiarity with MPO/MTP fiber systems and cable management best practices.
• Experience performing fiber testing (OTDD, insertion loss, or certification testing) preferred.
• Candidates without testing experience must be willing and able to learn fiber testing procedures through company-provided training.
• Ability to read basic drawings, rack elevations, and installation documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift equipment, work on ladders, and perform physical tasks in a data center environment.
• Previous experience overseeing a team of 3 or more preferred.
