Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 per year
A bit about us: We are a growing, employee-owned contractor seeking an Assistant Controller to support day-to-day financial operations and play a key role in company-wide systems and process improvement. This position offers hands-on involvement with executive leadership and a realistic path to a future Controller role. The ideal candidate will be skilled in Viewpoint Vista, have construction experience, and be able to assist with our implementation.

Job Details What You’ll Do
- Lead ERP implementation tasks, including chart of accounts, master file setup, workflow documentation, and training for field and office teams
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial reporting
- Ensure proper job cost coding across labor, equipment, and project transactions
- Assist with Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and revenue recognition
- Work with operations to monitor project performance, cash flow, and cost trends
- Provide AP/AR support and assist with payroll compliance (prevailing wage, certified payroll, union reporting)
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives and cross-department collaboration
What You Bring
- 5+ years using Viewpoint Vista (ERP experience is a MUST)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong understanding of construction accounting fundamentals: job cost, WIP, revenue recognition
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial reporting tools
- Ability to work with field teams and internal stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience creating SOPs, process documentation, or training a plus
