Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact in a dynamic school environment by supporting students during Extended School Year (ESY) and general education summer programming. This temporary contract assignment calls for a skilled Registered Nurse with school-based experience and a current Credentialed School Nurse certification. You’ll serve a diverse caseload, ensuring the health and safety of medically complex individuals as well as general education students across multiple sites near North Hollywood, CA.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Mandatory Credentialed School Nurse certification
• Demonstrated experience in school nursing, especially with students who have medical complexities
• Excellent assessment, triage, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt to multiple school environments and work independently

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care, assessments, and interventions to medically complex students at Valencia High during ESY sessions
• Oversee healthcare needs, including medication administration, emergency response, and chronic condition management for general education students at additional locations
• Maintain accurate documentation on all nursing interventions and student encounters
• Collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and allied professionals to promote student wellness and safety
• Ensure compliance with school district protocols and state regulations

Assignment Dates and Hours:

• ESY program at Valencia High: June 11, June 26, June 29, July 6, July 7, July 13, July 14 (7am–2pm)
• General education shifts at multiple sites: July 20, July 24, July 27, July 29 (7am–2pm)
• Contract assignment; presence required on listed dates
