Principal Systems Architect

We have an immediate opening for a Principal Systems Architect who will support US Army Aviation Programs in Huntsville, AL. This will be a high visibility position for Capstone Research Corporation with a significant opportunity for growth. Salary for this position will depend on education and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support high-visibility critical aspects of US Army and MDA IAMD programs.
• Develop and execute modeling and simulation laboratory system architecture and design, M&S documentation, systems requirements, analysis, and verification via M&S.
• Provide direct systems engineering support and coordinate engineering services with team members to serve the technical needs of the program.
• Coordinate efforts of multiple government and industry partners
• Provide periodic program reviews and technical presentations to high-ranking Government stakeholders.
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
• Develop and execute a growth strategy for IAMD identifying customer needs and revenue sources that can be leveraged with company capabilities.
• Recruit, manage and lead engineering team in support of the effort.
• Manage government projects (e.g., contracts, subcontracts, task orders) ensuring cost, schedule, and technical performance meet or exceed contractual requirements, and profit/loss.

Requirements

• BS Engineering (MS Preferred) with 20+ years of technical and project management experience.
• Must possess at least 10 years of direct support to Army or MDA missile defense systems
• Experience establishing and growing M&S labs at AvMC.
• Experience with and in-depth knowledge of DoD operations, concepts, and technologies
• Ability to grow technical efforts and take on task leadership for the Company.
• Good problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel 6-12 trips per year with multiple destinations
• Top Secret Security Clearance desired
• Must be US Citizen
