Our Financial Services Client is seeking a Lead ETL Developer to join their team.
Job Overview Role: Senior ETL Developer (IBM DataStage)
Location: Charlotte, NC
Contract Duration: 12+ Months

- End-to-End ETL Design & Delivery
- CI/CD for ETL Deployments
Key Responsibilities - Hands-on role designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting ETL solutions using IBM DataStage
- Own full end-to-end ETL delivery , including sourcing, transformation, loading, error handling, and documentation
- Migrate existing applications to an in-house/custom ETL framework
- Work with business users, solution architects, and LOB partners to translate requirements into ETL solutions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate across multiple teams
- Troubleshoot ETL failures, performance bottlenecks, and data quality issues
- Prepare and manage deployment artifacts (DSX/ID exports, release documentation)
- Enable and support CI/CD pipelines for ETL deployments
- Provide production support and technical guidance for ETL and data warehouse processes
Required Experience & Qualifications IBM DataStage & ETL Expertise - Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting complex IBM DataStage ETL pipelines
- Deep knowledge of DataStage jobs, stages, metadata, and deployments
- Experience with data movement, cleansing, and quality processes
High-Volume Data & Performance Tuning - Proven experience working with large enterprise datasets
- Strong performance tuning skills for ETL workloads
- Experience integrating with systems such as SAP, Oracle, Teradata
CI/CD & Deployment - Hands-on experience enabling or working within CI/CD pipelines for ETL
- Automation-focused mindset for reliable, repeatable deployments
- Experience with release management and deployment documentation
Technical Leadership - Senior-level experience guiding teams on best practices, code reviews, and performance optimization
- Mentors junior developers and serves as an ETL subject-matter expert
- Works closely with architects and stakeholders on high-level and technical design decisions
Preferred / Nice-to-Have - Experience with Informatica ETL
- Strong SAP data integration experience
- Prior experience delivering or supporting new application builds
