The HR Generalist supports the organization's human resources functions with a focus on recruitment, benefits assistance, and administrative duties. This role is essential in attracting top talent, supporting employee well-being, and ensuring smooth HR operations. This is an in-office position located in Lincoln, NE. Essential Functions Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Manage full-cycle recruitment including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, and interviewing. Coordinate and attend college career fairs and networking events to promote the organization and recruit interns and entry-level talent. Utilize social media to build pipeline and reach out to active and passive candidates. Develop a pipeline of in-person and remote candidates, including past employees, interns, and prior candidates. Collaborate with the HR Director during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, start dates, and other details. Assist with coordinating the onboarding of interns and new employees. Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. Benefits Assistance Support the administration of employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, retirement, leave policies, etc.). Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and correct any discrepancies. Assist with annual open enrollment and communicate benefit updates to staff. HR Administration Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and personnel files. Prepare HR reports and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. May provide general HR support including employee relations, policy guidance, and administrative tasks. Maintain familiarity with benefit programs and knowledge of up-to-date state and federal regulations and laws. Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to market the Firm Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles Experience utilizing LinkedIn and other recruiting platforms Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software and other HR systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Detail oriented and highly organized Ability to prioritize tasks Excellent critical thinking skills Physical Requirements Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Travel Required Minimal travel required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience, required 2+ years' experience recruiting, and sourcing candidates preferred.
