About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance to lead strategic initiatives that ensure compliance with global regulations and prioritize patient safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of comprehensive safety strategies for pharmaceutical products, providing expert medical guidance on safety data, risk management plans, and regulatory submissions. This role involves representing the organization in interactions with regulatory agencies, industry bodies, and external stakeholders, as well as driving continuous improvement in safety processes and compliance systems. The Executive Director will also mentor and develop the drug safety team, contribute to organizational leadership, and ensure adherence to industry best practices in all drug safety operations. Applicants must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a strong background in medical sciences, a minimum of 11 years of experience in drug safety and pharmacovigilance, and a proven track record in executive-level leadership. Key responsibilities include overseeing the collection, analysis, and reporting of adverse event data, developing risk management plans, and leading interactions with regulatory authorities. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of global regulatory requirements, exceptional communication and leadership skills, and a commitment to ethical practices. Experience with risk management systems and safety monitoring tools is highly preferred, as is the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
