What Youll Do - Provide targeted, specialized academic instruction to students with learning differences and special needs in elementary or middle school settings
- Manage an assigned caseload, ensuring services align with each students IEP goals and timelines
- Lead IEP meetings, write compliant IEPs, and collaborate with service providers, parents, and district teams
- Administer and interpret standardized assessments to track progress and drive instructional planning
- Adapt and modify curriculum to support student learning and inclusion across co-teaching, push-in, pull-out, and one-to-one models
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including IEPs, progress reports, evaluations, and service logs
- Partner with general education teachers to create differentiated instruction and promote meaningful inclusion
What Were Looking For Required:
- Active California Education Specialist and/or Special Education Teaching Credential (CTC)
- Availability for in-person services in Oakland, CA
- Strong knowledge of Special Education law, policy, and instructional best practices
Preferred:
- 1+ years of Special Education teaching experience
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, student-centered approach
- Tech-savvy with strong organizational skills
