Description Team Fishel , the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is hiring a Directional Drill Operators and Locators for our Suffolk, VA operation. Responsibilities Operating directional bore equipment for underground utility construction. Assisting foreman and/or supervisors with all duties. Operating trenchers, plows, backhoes, and bobcats. Operating tampers, jackhammers, drills, and saws when needed. Working in the field with the crews completing work. Requirements & Qualifications Candidate holds a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) – highly preferred. Meets all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing). Has previous knowledge and experience of underground utility installations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow job specifications and orders. Ability to communicate with teammates. Willingness to work and follow directions. Willingness to travel is a plus. Starting pay $27 – $28 / hour depending on applicable experience and certifications.
