Cloud Architect

Our Fortune 500 client is seeking a Cloud Architect to join their enterprise networking team. This person will be accountable for the overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support.

Location: Charlotte, NC or Cincinnati, OH

Pay Range: $75-80 per hour on W2

What's the Job?

• Design and implement overall infrastructure project components with infrastructure teams, ensuring that overall solution is designed to meet SLA, DR, monitoring, security and scalability needs required by the solution
• Ensure that post-production operational processes/deliverables are well designed and implemented prior to the project moving into the solution support phase
• Generate scripts and templates required for the automatic provisioning of resources, on prem, cloud and distributed
• Discover, install and execute processes and standards for optimal use of cloud service provider offerings
• Debug technical issues inside a complex stack involving virtualization, containers and microservices

What's Needed?

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in network engineering and IT infrastructure, and at least 2 years of experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Demonstrated experience of core network engineering & network security methodologies, concepts and tools, including Azure & GCP VPC & Network Security concepts, Palo Alto and/or Checkpoint, SIEM Integration, etc.
• Experience with core cloud network interconnect technologies, including Azure ExpressRoute or GCP Interconnect, Equinix Cloud Exchange Services, and BGP.
• Experience with Infrastructure as code concepts (ideally Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Relevant Cloud and/or Network industry certifications considered a plus
